Your article posted on June 30, 2006 is interesting since I was in the Lakewood Ambassadors and competed in that show on May 26, 1963. My girlfriend, Kathy Harn, went on to lead the color guard in the Senoritas.
I had many friends in that Corps. Rod Stewart, who arranged for the Ambassadors, and I went on to the Air Force Academy enlisted Corps until it was broken up in 1974.
Also marching that day were George Savin, who is now an attorney and my boss, and Dave Williams who I will see tonight as we play trumpet in the Long Beach City College community band.
Small world.
