Yes, our Goodwill trip to Mexico. We stayed with our counterpart's families, and me and "Kole" stayed with these brothers who had a car (we were 14). So after a certain amount of tequila and some harrowing evening driving down there we ended up at some kind of night club. My buddy "Kole" was a lot worse off than I was and kept asking for a ...errrr, well a woman. He had $2.50. (well, it WAS 1964). About this time I noticed, across the room, our horn instructor Lenny Slade sitting with our director Bill Frances, and the Mayor of Lakewood and I think the Mayor of Ensenada. I better quit here, (we barely escaped) but just add that these are the kinds of wholesome stories that make us so proud as adults.
